Seth is 18 months old today! And we had his 18 month check up. I was a little nervous because he isn't meeting some of the things he should be. It is mostly verbal things, he is suppose to have 8 words by now and he has 4 and Momma and Dada don't count. He also should be putting two words together or at least trying to copy what we say, he is not doing that- I guess the other night Billy was chasing him and he said "I'm gonna get you" and Seth was running around "got you" So back to the appointment, We saw a new lady and I hate seeing new people- I like the ones that I know and that treat me and my kids the "right" way. So she comes in and tells me right off the bat that "Seth is way under weight" I say I know I think I know why can I talk to you about it... she says Well get to that later. So she gives me a lecture on how Seth should be eating and what I need to do all before I can say that he has a reaction to Milk and dairy products. So I said "Ok I do all of that but he can't have dairy so isn't that maybe why he isn't getting all of his calories?" I t was just really annoying because she didn't want to listen to me- so while I am listening to her tell me what I don't need to know- Mikayla was trying to get my attention by tapping my shoulder and the NP said "Excuse me Little girl, we do not hit our Moms and if you keep hitting her I will put you in time out!" I was pissed- I should have said something to her- Mikayla was not hurting me and she just wanted to know what was going on. The Dr. we usually see always says hi to Mikayla and asks her some questions and makes her feel included, this other lady didn't even really make me feel included because she wouldn't let me talk. So I really didn't want to listen to anything else she had to say. So I will never see her again!!!
So Seth's stats are 20.15 pounds, (Lower than 3%) 32 inches tall (50%) And she was not worried about his speech. I still have an appointment with the Speech people later this month- I am hoping they will help me more with his diet than anything! They do it all and listen to me before telling me what to do:)

OMG!!!! And I bet now when you look back on it you regret not punching her in the nose!!! You should tell your normal doctor about this, she needs to know what her partners are doing. Plus take it from someone who regrets not standing up to a bad doctor - stand up and say something cause if you don't it will haunt you!!!! I hate doctors who act like they are grading you on your parenting skills!!! UGHH
Also don't worry about the talking thing - you'll know as his mom if there is something you should worry about. He has an older sister who probably does most of the talking for him so I wouldn't even worry!
Sorry you had to deal with that, I know the feeling and feel your pain!!!
