Go Broncos?!?

We went to our first Broncos training camp this past Monday. I don't know why it took us so long to go there since my Brother-in-law, Tony, has worked for the broncos for 5+ years now.

We went with Amanda and Loren and their kids. The kids did not have as much fun as we did but it was really cool. Tony got us VIP tickets so we got to sit on the 50 yard line and talked to some players wives and watched some girls try to get the players attention. It was amazing how close you are to them. I am such a bad fan I don't know who is who anymore- I really don't know them if they don't have a jersey with their name on- This reminds me of a time when we went to gymboree and Ebenezer Ekuban (91) was there with his son. His son was adorable and a really great kicker. He punted the ball all the way across the room and he was only 3. Well Ebenezer was talking to me about Mikayla and how she was cute and you know just parent talk, I thought nothing of him being huge. Later another Mother came up to him and started asking him about the Broncos and what not. Good thing my huge football friends, Ryan and Sierra, were there they told me who he was. Or I would have never known how he was. And then another time we saw him Kerri and Tony were coming to see us while I was in labor and they said they just passed him and his wife getting a room in the hospital! I think our boys have the same birthday because they came in the same day and were leaving at the same time as us! I only knew it was him then because he had just had his surgery for his injury and he had a huge cast thing on and was in a wheel chair. So those are my clame to fame and this Monday was almost as cool as those- we were maybe 10 feet away from the players and sometimes they would run into where we were sitting. It was fun! They ran though some plays and exercises. The best part was when the were practicing punting, one guy totally missed catching the ball and Mikayla yells "Open your eyes and catch the ball" It was classic. We don't even watch football that much and we don't yell things like that so I thought it was really funny that she came up with it on her own.

I think we will have to make this an annual thing- and maybe next year we will be able to stay long enough to get autographs! So thanks to Uncle Tony for getting us VIP and thanks to the Broncos for getting us out of the house! And please don't ask me about how they will do this year- How can you tell from one practice?

Trip to Elitches

So the boys (Billy and Loren) or as I call them the Dad's went camping for the night and then rode their dirt bikes all day Sunday. So we wanted to do something extra fun with the kids. We heard that Dora was going to be there taking pictures. So we thought that would be a lot of fun for the kids and Kosi (the radio station) had special coupons for the day. So kids 3 and under were free and adults were $19.99 (regularly $34.99) So then to save even more money and help the environment we took the Light rail. It was the first time that Amanda and the kids had been on! I think they really liked it plus it saved us another $20 for parking and how ever much that would have been in gas and we carpooled:)

Once we got there we went to see Dora first the line was somewhat long but we brought snacks and things to keep the kids busy. Of course as soon as we got in line she had to take a 10 minute break:( And the kids didn't understand why she left and we were still in line, so we told them she had to go Potty! Halfway through us standing in line it started to rain, not bad but enough to notice it! The whole time Mikayla was so excited that she had boots and she kept saying "I am going to give Dora a hug" Well when it was our turn she changed her mind and wanted nothing to do with her! So I had to hold her and they took a quick Polaroid. It was alright but not worth the wait- Maria's did not turn out at all- A big smudge wiped out Dora's face:( And I was trying to get Mikayla calmed down so I didn't even get a shot with my Camera:(

But little did we know that they would completely forget about Dora and still have a blast. We went back to kiddie land and rode the rides. They rode 4/6 rides. They rode the Bus twice. We all got to ride on the train and then Amanda took the kids on the Spinning balloon ride! She was feeling sick before the ride started. It took a long time to get it going and while you waited the girls could spin the ride- and they did:) Then we let them play the fishing game and they both won lizards! After that we went to the carousel and all of us rode that one too. We ended the day with a candy apple and a nice Light rail ride home! I know I had a lot of fun and I think the kids did too! I remember Elitches being the best thing that we got to do every summer! I hope my kids have the same memory! For more pictures look at my flicker.

Congratulations to the White's!

On Saturday August 2, 2008 our good friends Dustin and Shannon got married. It was beautiful, it was up at look out mountain. The clouds came over and made the ceremony nice and comfortable. Then we had a great time eating and dancing! It was so much fun. We are so happy for them, they are a great couple and are perfect for each other!

Dustin was so Handsome! It was fun to see everyone all dressed up and having a good time. It was a morning wedding so it wasn't too hot! Mikayla and Seth loved all of the attention. Mikayla was even dancing until she got so tired that she laid on the floor.
Shannon was gorgeous as usual. Her dress was perfect for her. I don't know how she was still standing at the end- she was holding it almost the whole time that she was dancing. She said it was so heavy! I remember how heavy my dress was- I told her it is a good work out:) and practice for when you have kids and go to a wedding. I was either holding Mikayla or Seth while I was dancing! I thought it was funny- during the line dances everyone who was out there had something in their hands; most had beer or a drink of some sort- I had kids. It was fun!
It was really good to see everyone together! We had a great time!
Here are almost all of the boys; (left to right) Travis, Billy, Brandon, Cody, Eli, Dustin. Chris, and Jeff. They all have their hands up because this is Dustin's, aka Dirty, famous picture pose!
