Good Morning

It is funny how kids want to be just like you. Well maybe not JUST... but it is cute how they like to act grown up. This is how Mikayla wanted to get dressed today and what she wanted to drink her orange juice from. The funny part is I don't have a bathrobe and I rarely drink Coffee. It is still cute though.

Happy Birthday Uncle!!

So I feel really bad that this is 2 days late.... Weekends are hard for me to get on this thing:(

But I did wish Uncle a happy birthday on his birthday, I even got to see him, and he looked happy and healthy:) and well rested! Auntie said he had taken a nap before I came over!

I forgot this birthday and I shouldn't have. I guess I have known him my whole life, he is one month younger than my sister. He also has a little boy who is a little older than Mikayla and a little girl who is a month younger than Seth!!

Making Decisions

Making Decisions based on what you know and how you feel. I was sent this website through an email and I took it. It is a simple quiz on how you feel about political subjects. It is 11 questions long. It is very general, but it gives you an idea of maybe who you can research more. It does give you your top three candidates and then it also gives how everyone running answered the question and why they believe that way. It is a great way to get started if you haven't yet. Just keep in mind that you should answer they way you think not how someone else thinks!!

Not so much Shopping fun

So Billy and I went shopping for Christmas presents, and did not have very good luck. I hope Santa has it much easier. We were looking for a very specific gift that was in the add and 3 different people told us they had them and took us to a place where they would be and then showed us a different item. I was so frustrated, I took the kids out of the cart and left it in the middle of the isle full of gifts. That's what they get for not listening to the customer. I almost called to talk to the manager but I knew that wouldn't help the problem because I was so mad all I would do is yell and then people tend to tune me out and it doesn't go anywhere except to make me even more upset. So the next day I was going to try again and this time I called ahead to make sure they had them, and of course they have a "few" and they can't hold them for me and if I want one I have to go today. So I pack the sick kids up and of course there is an accident so it takes us forever to get to the store. I had to Feed Seth and then hope that the stupid thing is there. I go in to the store and go to where it should be and of course it is not there. I ask for help and one person takes me to another person who takes me to one more person who looks it up on the computer and says they have them, I ask where and they take me to where I started and one the end cap they have a ton of items that you pick the slip up and take it to the check out and you ask and pay for it there. 20 Minutes later I finally got it. Poor Mikayla was so sick she didn't even notice that we were at toys r us. Next year I am starting early. I felt like I was shopping the day before Christmas, not 3 weeks before.

I am glad that Santa makes all of his toys because I think he would quit if he had to do what we do!!!

So I was disappointed that this early people are so upset, I thought it was the season to be merry and bright. All it takes is one scrooge to ruin the crowd. I hope people get the Christmas cheer soon:) I guess I will have to start now with a smile shared with all of you!!

Parade of Lights

It is an annual tradition to go to the parade of lights and freeze. I have gone to the parade 8 times and was in it twice. I am sure I went a few times when I was little but because I didn't live in Colorado my whole life I haven't seen it every year. But I have lived here now for 10 years straight and I have gone every year. This year was great because I got to view it from inside of a building. It was wonderful, we got all the hot chocolate and popcorn we could want, front row seats our own bathroom and best of all heaters!!! Mikayla loved it, it was the best way to watch the parade, Seth slept in the corner and stayed nice and warm, and Mikayla did not complain about being too cold or not being able to see. It was a great way to celebrate an annual tradition. I think this will become our new tradition!!
