FUN Visitors

This week we had three very special visitors come to town!!! This was the first time that they got to meet Seth. It was fun to watch them with both Seth and Mikayla. Mikayla was shy at first and then warmed up and would dance and go crazy. Of course then she would fall and they would remind me of who she got her clumsiness from... Me.

We had a great time, Love you all.

Mountain Fun

So this past weekend we packed up the car (way to many items for a 2 night stay) and drove to higher ground!! We met my Mom, Don his kids and my sister for a nice weekend getaway. Saturday night we arrived and went to the club house to play racket ball and to swim. Brittany forgot her swim suit and got wet still, even though she asked everyone to not splash her. Mikayla walked up and down the pool stairs 5 hundred times and bossed everyone around. And I beat Billy in all but one water race:) My swimming lessons back in the day at Delmar really paid off.

Sunday Billy and Brittany went snowboarding and I guess had a really fun time for there not being any snow on the ground. It was on the trail but that was all we saw.
The rest of the clan; Don, Cindy, Matt, Sadie, Me, Mikayla, Seth, Andy, and Julie went to Breckenridge to walk along the river walk and to look at some of the stores. Seth cried the whole time (he was too hot, and I didn't want him to get cold so I would rather him be hot and cry then cold and get sick next week) Mikayla slept as usual when she visits a new place and the rest of us had a good time enjoying the fresh mountain air. Don was gracious enough to treat us to some hot chocolate from Starbucks, they were all out so we had to change our minds and get peppermint mocha drinks. And then we went home. The Simpson kids went home and the rest of us stayed until Monday afternoon. We had a great time I just wish there was more snow. Last year we had done this same trip the same weekend and there was tons of snow. So hopefully next year there will be a lot of snow again:)

Mikayla Loves the snow

Before Halloween we got 6 inches of snow. Mikayla loved it she wanted to play in it all day. When we would make her come in she would throw the biggest fits. She loved throwing snowballs for Emma (our dog) and eating the white snow of course.

Seth's Firsts

I can't believe that Seth is 2 months old now!! He is growing like a weed we went to the Dr. this week and he is 10lbs 10 oz and 24 inches long. He has also had a few Firsts and I got them on tape: he gave me a smile and he rolled over. He still gives me smiles every morning, noon, and night, but he has not rolled over again.

He also just moved into his own room. I think he likes it. He sleeps for 6-7 hours at first and then he eats for 45 minutes and then goes back to sleep for another 4 hours!! Mikayla is still doing great she sleeps for 12 hours at night and takes 2, 2 hour naps!! She is sometimes jealous of Seth but most of the time she just wants to help!!

Pumpkin Fun

I know it is late for pumpkin fun but we had a great time carving our pumpkins!! Billy got to do the real carving. Mikalyla colored her pumpkin and I documented the event. Seth sat in his bouncer and gave us smiles!! Mikayla had a great time she thought it was the best thing to first pick out her own pumpkin at the pumpkin patch and then to decorate it. She was really excited for Halloween because she can say "trick or treat" and knows she gets candy. We have been practicing as well:)

On Halloween I was sick so I only took her to a few houses next to our house. She liked it but would not take any pictures so I am going to get some soon!! She was our little Monkey and Seth was a Skunk we called him our "Little Stinker"
