Time for another update! We have been pretty busy.
We decided to try something new every weekend. So 2 weeks ago we took a day trip to Castlewood Canyon. We went with Sierra, Ryan and Jaden. We found a little water spot and let the kids have fun! We didn't take swim suits or anything so we stripped them down to their undies and let them have fun. Seth just wanted to eat the sand. He is crazy- now that he is crawling and pulling him self up she does not want to be held. He wants to explore everything. Then we went into town and had some lunch. It was fun- it took a while but the chicken was good!
Then this weekend we went to Aurora Reservoir and played at the "Beach". Mikayla had a blast running all around and playing in the sand with her new sand toys. She did not like when she got wet and then had sand all over her feet, but she got over that quickly. Seth wanted to eat the sand again. This time we took the Pack-n-play and he sat in that and played with toys and had a good time. I don't think he realized he was not in the sand.
Yesterday we tried a new pool by our house. Lookout Park and Pool. It was fun they have a big toddler pool a water slide and a big regular pool. Seth liked to splash in the water. He did take a break to eat and drink a bottle but then he was ready to go again. Mikayla has really shown a big interest in swimming lately. She was jumping in and trying to put her face in the water. The funniest thing was when we would tell her to hold her breath she would put her hand around her neck. We had a lot of fun. Mikayla was to short to ride on the slide but Billy and I went on it and it was fun!
In a few days Seth will turn 10 months old. He is growing like crazy. Getting into everything and keeping all of us on our toes. Mikayla is actually taking an interest in him and plays with him at times. She also trys to be the boss of him. It is funny how they already know how to "bother" each other. Seth knows how to push Mikayla's buttons and really make her mad. And Mikayla just knows how to push Seth. I know one day it will drive me crazy but right now I am just glad that they know the other exists.
