New Art Work!

Mikayla makes about 2-3 art projects a day at preschool. I keep the ones that are more than just a few scribbles on a page. She has been very excited about some of her work. Here is a goldfish that she colored with glitter paint and then some things from Valentines week. I am so glad that she is having a great time at school. She has gone 3 days now with big girl panties on and has not had one accident.

They are concerned with her speech. I kept reminding them that she didn't talk much before Seth was born so she really just started saying a lot about 5 months ago. Now she says 6-7 word sentences and she repeats everything we say. She can not say R and she usually replaces it with another sound so we have an Aunt Kitty instead of Aunt Kerri. I am not too worried but we are having it checked out, not until April though:( My thoughts are if she need help then lets give it to her. I have looked into it and found that if corrected before 3 then there will never be any more problems nor will she be behind in school. I will keep everyone updated.

We are back!!

We are back and Tired. We had so much fun we were always running somewhere. One day we took a 10.5 mile bike ride around the Island. Remind you I just had a baby and it has been over a year since I have ridden a bike. Being at sea level really helps. We went to the beach everyday but it was way to cold to put more then our toes in. We ate really good seafood and even Mikayla had some. One day at the restaurant she asked for "Dori" fish. I don't know why she is OK with eating her friends but she ate it and loved it. We had a great time playing Mini Golf with my Grandpa and then we ate dinner with him and his wife Billie Jo. We spent a day in Jacksonville Florida and went to the Zoo. Mikayla and I got to feed a Giraffe. And of course we got use to the 2 hour time change. Now we are tying to back to MTN time. Mikayla was so tired that she went to bed yesterday at 4pm, she woke up at 9:30 and was out of it she cried and didn't know what she wanted, she went back to bed at 10pm and did not wake up until 11 am today. She was tired, she didn't get her naps on Vacation so I guess she had to catch up. She woke up today and ate 2 waffles and a can of pineapples. She is mush happier now. I think Seth goes by the sun so he is back to his schedule now. He is as happy as can be and doing great. Billy had to go to work today because he is going to Vegas next weekend and I am trying to catch up on laundry:(

Happy Birthday Ross the Boss

Happy Birthday to the best Boss I know. Ross the Boss was what I called him when I would want to follow him everywhere he went! I miss him tons now! Hope you have a great Birthday and we wish you the best!

Seth Misses you and can't wait to see you again and for you to teach him about his muscles and to make sure his skull is fusing properly!!

Ocean here we come!

Well we are leaving in about 4 hours! The kids are taking a nap before we leave and I am doing what else but sharing my life with you! I am very excited, I am tired of the Colorado Cold and I am also tired of cleaning my House!! I can't wait to see Mikayla's face when she see the ocean and can express what she sees. This will be her second time to the Atlantic she has also been to the Pacific once. Both trips she was under a year so I know she doesn't remember. every morning she wakes up and asks "Mommy can we go to the Ocean now?" I tell her how many days then the next day she asked if we could go on an airplane and "go way up high in the sky" I tell her no in somany days and she gets mad at me and says "I want to go on an airplane NOW"
And then today when I could tell her that we get to go today she says "Mommy we go on airplane soon, not now" She is so cute! I know she will do great, I am a little worried about Seth, I think he is getting a tooth and has been a little cranky. Our fligt is at night and I don't want him to cry and upset the other passangers.
I'm sure they will be great and sleep through the whole flight:)

I hope our arms don't get tired!

New clothes

I love going on vacation in winter! The only thing I do not like is that the kids do not have any spring/summer clothes so I had to go and get them some. I love to shop but I love getting things on sale and now is not the time to buy spring/summer clothes. I went to the outlet mall in Castle Rock and went to Carter's and Children's place. I did alright but the best deals were on winter clothes. I got Mikayla a pair of pants and they were only$.99. The most expensive thing I bought all day was a little short set for Seth and that was only $10. Oh nope I was wrong I got Mikayla a cute dress that was $12. Still not bad. Everything I got was on sale just not the best deals that I could get!! I'm sure I will come back and all of the things I got will be on sale even more.

First play date!

So today we had our first play date with some friends that we should of had a long time ago. Billy works with a guy named Lauren. He and his wife, Amanda, have two kids Maria and Luis. Maria is 3 1/2 and Luis is 9 1/2 months. We have seen each other at work functions but have never really talked or hung out so Amanda and I have decided that we need to hang out with the kids. So today was the first day and I hoasted it! we ate "Shrek" mac-n-cheese and played "Kitchen and with babies" It was a lot of fun. At the end of the day the girls wanted to find the cat. She was under Mikayla's bed, they were laughing and having a great time so I ran up there to take a picture and this is the one I got. Of course the cat did not come out but they were still having a good time!

Wreck This Journal (WTJ)

So my sister got me this Journal for christmas. She learned about it through our family friend Melissa. I now know another friend who has one and we are all going to share what we do in the book. I love it because each person can have such a different book but we can all have a common intrest. Check out my Flicker page often to see My pages. The really cool ones I will post on my Blog!!!

On decorating the cover I chose the High School Way.. You know the one where you plaster your name and your "crush's" last name all over your school books!! I am lucky enough that my crush is my Husband!!!

Having the "Talk" with Mikayla

Well I was watching Dr. Phil the other day and they were talking about teenage pregnancy and how to prevent it. Dr. Phil said that you should always talk to your kids about sex not just have one "Birds and the Bees" talk and that it should always be age appropriate. So Mikayla woke up and I thought I should talk to her about it. I started out with "when you want to be a Mommy and you have babies you need to make sure that you find a good boy who will be a good Daddy to your babies." She looked at me dead serious and said " I will get a Daddy that throws them way up high in the sky." I thought perfect she gets it. She needs someone who will be a Dad and have fun with her and their kids!! It was cute and I thought very age appropriate.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Well I am 27 now. And I am lucky to say that I am on track with my life plan!! When I was in High school I wanted to be married by 22 have my first kid by 24 and my second by 26 and my third by 28. I wanted to have graduated from college and be a teacher. I wanted to have great friends, and be close to my family.
Well I was off by a little bit, I got married at 23 to the best Man in the world. And had my first child at 24 and my second at 26 but I don't think we will be having a third. (I want to take them to Disney world and I don't want any one to have to ride by themselves. Oh and I am not a very good pregnant person.) I graduated from UNC and I got my degree in early childhood education but I had my wonderful children and decided that I wanted to raise them!! I have wonderful friends near and far. Some I talk to everyday and others I only talk to through Blogging but they are all still close to me! And I am lucky enough to say that my family members are my friends. I am so happy to be 27 and loving life!! It is funny how things can work out for the best and how you can know what you want early in life. I will always tell my children to set goals and appreciate it when you reach them. I really haven't set any new goals other than to be the best Mom and Wife that I can be, and to always support my Husband and believe in my children.

Birthday Bowling

For my 27th Birthday we decided to go bowling. I haven't been in a while but Billy and I thought it would be fun. We both have been doing really well on the Wii so we thought what's the difference? Well I didn't really feel much of a difference, but Billy did. My first game I got a 143 and Billy got a 92. We were also playing with My Mom and Don and Amie and Scott and Lucas Logan and Mikayla. We all had a lot of fun. I was winning until Scott came along and got a 178 out of no where in the last 2 frames. Mikayla was a great Cheerleader and she really liked rolling the ball down the alley. All in all it was a fun time even though I didn't win! Like I tell the kids Winning isn't every thing!

Sitting up!!!

Well I think I can say that Seth is sitting up on hi own!! He is still very wobbly but he can do it! It is amazing how fast they grow. On one hand I think how is he almost 5 months old. And on the other hand I can't remember life with out him, I feel like he has been here forever. He is such a happy little boy and is growing like a weed. He is eating all of his veggies and some fruits. He loves squash and mangos. What a combo... with Mikayla she loved all foods and would eat them as fast as she could. Seth likes to taste them and when doing so his first bite always has a funny face that follows. He will eat it but if he doesn't like it then he takes a long time to eat it and makes his funny face almost every time. If he loves it then you can't give it to him fast enough and inbetween bits he will cry. It is so cool to see their little personalities.

Mikayla is also growing like crazy. Here vocabulary is outragous. Her new thing to do is ask "who's that?" to any thing and anyone in real life or on TV. I give her a name even if I know it or not and she repeats it. She also loves playing pretend. She plays with her new artic animals, and she plays "where's the baby" and she hides it somewhere in the house and then makes me take the Mommy animal and we have to go find the baby. It is cute becuase she can't wait for me to find it and bring me the baby. Her other play game is "Baby Kayla" she finds a pacifire and puts it in her mouth and says " Mommy I am baby Kayla" and I say "but your a big girl now not a baby." and she says " just pretend Mommy" It is so fun beaing able to stay home with them and have all of these stories.
